Requirements<\/strong><\/p><\/td>

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Experience required <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

3 years of commercial driving experience in 26ft 5-ton trucks, 11000 GVW, G class rated, or similar vehicles. With a clean driving record.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Responsibilities or main duties <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

  • Transport materials and equipment to various locations, 5-10 drops per day on average.<\/li>
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring the safety of the goods and adherence to best practices.<\/li>
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations.<\/li>
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups.<\/li>
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>

Required Skills <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

  • Proven experience as a DZ driver, a minimum of 3 years in Canada.<\/li>
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs repetitively.<\/li>
  • Able to climb up and down the back of a box truck.<\/li>
  • Ability to use a ratchet strap.<\/li>
  • Ability to use the electronic signature device for deliveries<\/li>
  • Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation regulations) and compliance<\/li>
  • Maintenance and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.<\/li>
  • Experience in loading and unloading various types of cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>

Preferred Skills <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

  • Proficient in vehicle repairs and troubleshooting.<\/li>
  • Effective time management abilities for on-time deliveries.<\/li>
  • Skilled in problem-solving for road-related challenges.<\/li>
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation software.<\/li>
  • Strong grasp of regional geography and road networks.<\/li>
  • Flexible availability for varied work hours.<\/li>
  • Attentive to detail.<\/li>
  • Clear communication skills for client and team interaction, and accurate record-keeping.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>

License, certifications, and PPE required <\/strong><\/p><\/td>

  • Valid ODL (Operator\u2019s Driver License) license\/ Commercial driver\u2019s license.<\/li>
  • Health and Safety certificate: Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps<\/li><\/ul>
