Experience required

3 years of commercial driving experience in 26ft 5-ton trucks, 11000 GVW, G class rated, or similar vehicles. With a clean driving record.

Responsibilities or main duties

●        Transport materials and equipment to various locations, 5-10 drops per day on average.

●        Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring the safety of the goods and adherence to best practices.

●        Follow all safety procedures and regulations.

●        Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups.

●        Maintain a clean and organized truck

Required Skills

●        Proven experience as a DZ driver, a minimum of 3 years in Canada.

●        Ability to lift 75 lbs repetitively.

●        Able to climb up and down the back of a box truck.

●        Ability to use a ratchet strap.

●        Ability to use the electronic signature device for deliveries

●        Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation regulations) and compliance

●        Maintenance and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

●        Experience in loading and unloading various types of cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.

Preferred Skills

●        Proficient in vehicle repairs and troubleshooting.

●        Effective time management abilities for on-time deliveries.

●        Skilled in problem-solving for road-related challenges.

●        Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation software.

●        Strong grasp of regional geography and road networks.

●        Flexible availability for varied work hours.

●        Attentive to detail.

●        Clear communication skills for client and team interaction, and accurate record-keeping.

License, certifications, and PPE required

●        Valid ODL (Operator’s Driver License) license/ Commercial driver’s license.

●        Health and Safety certificate: Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps

●        Safety footwear
