Diploma  equivalent For this  field.

Experience required

2-5 years of industrial mechanical experience.

Responsibilities or main duties

●      Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity.

●      Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a Supervisor.

●      Monitor the production line.

●      Follow all Company health and safety policies and procedures.

●      Other duties as assigned. Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

●      Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery.

●      Operate hoisting and lifting devices.

●      Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions.

●      Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power systems.

●      Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.

●      Use machine tools to fabricate parts.

Required Skills

●        Demonstrated experience with mechanics, machine shop practices (including lathe and milling machines), welding (ARC, TIG, MIG), and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

●        Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

Preferred Skills

●        Experience in the bakery or food production industry.

●        Additional certifications in welding or machinery operation.

●        Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

●        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

●        Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.

License or certifications required

●        Valid Red Seal Millwright License or Provincial Millwright Ticket (Industrial Mechanic Millwright-433A) is required.

●        Health and Safety certificate: Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps approved WHMIS certificate with at least 70% of score.

●        Personal Protection Equipment (safety footwear)
