Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Experience required

3 years of commercial driving experience in 26ft 5-ton trucks, 11000 GVW, G class rated, or similar vehicles. With a clean driving record.

Responsibilities or main duties

• Transport materials and equipment to various locations, 5-10 drops per day on average.
• Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring the safety of the goods and adherence to best practices.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a DZ driver, a minimum of 3 years in Canada.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs repetitively.
• Able to climb up and down the back of a box truck.
• Ability to use a ratchet strap.
• Ability to use the electronic signature device for deliveries
• Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation regulations) and compliance
• Maintenance and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Experience in loading and unloading various types of cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.

• Proficient in vehicle repairs and troubleshooting.
• Effective time management abilities for on-time deliveries.
• Skilled in problem-solving for road-related challenges.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation software.
• Strong grasp of regional geography and road networks.
• Flexible availability for varied work hours.
• Attentive to detail.
• Clear communication skills for client and team interaction, and accurate record-keeping.

License, certifications, and PPE required

• Valid ODL (Operator’s Driver License) license/ Commercial driver’s license.
