Education Level

High school diploma or GED required

Experience required

At least 3 months of experience as a baker or similar  .

Responsibilities or main duties

●        Setting temperatures and cooking times for different products

●        Baking various types of bagels and other bakery products in large batches

●        Follow established baking recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all products.

●        Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.

●        Maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted production

Required Skills

●        Able to move up to 50lbs.

●        Must be able to stand for long periods of time on the job.

●        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

●        Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

●        Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

●        Previous experience in a bakery or food service setting is preferred.

●        Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment

●        Culinary or baking education preferred, but not required

License or certifications required

●        Health and Safety certificate: Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps

●        Personal Protection Equipment (safety footwear)

Benefits

●        Overtime paid After 44 hours (e.g $17*1.5=$25.5 p/h)

●        4% vacation paid out weekly
